Still Helping Homeless Pets

Dear Editor,

Thank you Oakdale Leader for the nice article featuring one of the improvement projects for the Oakdale Animal Shelter. Our heartfelt thanks goes to Oakdale Ace Hardware and the Setliff family for their generous support that made this project a reality. The outdoor module of three kennels is one of several projects under way to help ease the crowded conditions for the dogs, and improve the environment for the homeless pets at the animal shelter.

Oakdale Shelter Pet Alliance began a spay neuter voucher program for low income residents of Oakdale and Riverbank in August 2011. More spay neuter specials and enhancements to the program are being developed to help reduce the number of unplanned litters of kittens and puppies who end up at the Oakdale Shelter.

Thank you to all our generous supporters who have made a difference in saving and improving lives of homeless pets in Oakdale and Riverbank.

Please join us at Barktoberfest, Saturday, Oct. 6 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Barktoberfest is our fourth annual benefit for the homeless pets of Oakdale and Riverbank at a private residence. All are welcome. A donation of any amount is accepted at the door. For more information email efcorwin@sbcglobal.net or call 209-543-5434.

President
