There are many reasons to enjoy living in a small community. I have enjoyed the manner in which Oakdale supports their high school and junior high both in academics and sports.

Recently, we discovered a new advantage to small town living: a small town jewelry shop that is dedicated to the special needs of its community. My wife, Sandy, had a dilemma to solve. She had one nice ring with two daughters in line to pass it onto. Dilemma solved, she took it to Kim Contreras, owner of Oak Valley Jewelers. In short time, he was able to transform one ring into two and Sandy is a very happy camper. Once again small town communities are the best.
