Clearing Up Confusion

Dear Editor,

On receiving information that confirmed the hours that were mentioned in a prior article, about 6,100 hours, that was noted, and questioned, which I thought were CAPS, I have been shown by documentation, that Brea DeRespini, Parks and Recreation, coordinator, does have 9,200 hours of volunteer time with her volunteers. Very commendable, which means that the volunteers of Oakdale and CAPS have provided 15,300 hours to the City of Oakdale. Figuring that, volunteer wage of $22.79 an hour, all volunteers have saved the City of Oakdale $384,687 in wages.

Thank you,

Robert Neathery Sr.
