Jim Gomes of Oakdale passed away into the arms of God, Thursday July 6, 2017. Jim passed at UCSF surrounded by his loving family, he was 55 years old.
Jim was born in Modesto to Victor and Mary Gomes, raised on the family dairy in West Modesto. Jim established his own trucking/hay business which he was proud of and made many life-long friends within the business. Jim was well respected throughout the Central Valley and Nevada. Jim always had a smile on his face. He was so much more than a local businessman, he loved hunting, ranching, accomplished pilot, camping and travel. Jim married Gisele Miller and they were happily married the past 20 years.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ron (Jennifer). He is survived by his wife, Gisele; sons, Cory and Blake; daughter, Farrah; siblings, Bob (Loretta), Mary Reynolds, and Jerry; along with many nieces and nephews.
