Ted Marriot Bhend, 63, died Sunday, March 16.

He was born in Oakdale to Julius and Elaine Bhend. He graduated from Oakdale High School in 1969. He was a lifelong resident of Oakdale.

Mr. Bhend joined the U.S. Air Force in 1970. He served seven years, attaining the rank of Staff Sargent.

He was self-employed as owner of Nite Owl Repairs.

He loved fishing, motorcycles, and Ham (amateur) Radio. He loved to talk, talk, and talk.

He is survived by his brother, Michael Bhend; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Elaine Bhend; and brother, John Bhend.

A celebration of life will be held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 5 at the Cow Track Lounge. Interment will be at Hills Ferry Cemetery, Newman.
