In Adona, AK on July 28, 1925 Shirley Lavon “Happy” McCall was born to Hallie Edith and James Franklin McCall. Happy is the 7th child of 10 children. One sibling remaining is her beloved sister Anne Blagg of Oakdale, CA. The McCall family settled in Hughson, CA where Happy met her future husband, Red Casey.
They married March 21, 1945 and raised two children; Marsha Casey Neal, and Karen Casey Ellerd. Happy is survived by Marsha Neal; five grandchildren, Hallie Choate, Casey Neal, Kelly Bailey, Michael Ellerd, and Mitchell Ellerd. She also had eight grandchildren, Seth, Sidney, Caden, Cole, Riley, Chloe, Brendon, Merrick, Brinn, and Anthony.
Memorial services will be held: Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Oasis of Hope Church, 6600 Claus Road, Riverbank, CA 95367.
We will all miss her “happy” smile.
