Roger Sinclair, 79, of Oakdale, California left us on a beautiful afternoon Thursday, October 11. It was a quick and peaceful passing in the company of loved ones.

He was born December 2, 1938 to Vinson Valentine Tingley and Emma Vivian Brown in Lima, Ohio.

Roger was an outdoors man. Above all he loved nature, particularly the places where few others would have the determination to venture, but that was not all of him. He had many dear friends and he loved people and he had a sense of community. As a decorated member of the Kiwanis Club and member of the Oakdale Traffic Commission he gave of himself to that community.

He leaves behind his wife Joy of 18½ years, sons Gordon and Tim, and sister Barbara Sinclair. Stepfather to Mitch, Mike, Mark and Page Hinson and Grandfather to 11. The funeral will be held Wednesday, October 17 at 10 a.m. at Oakdale Memorial Chapel with internment at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery following.
