Robert ‘Bob’ Varner, 72, died Monday, April 15 of heart disease.

He was born in Seward, Neb.

He was a resident of Oakdale for 33 years.

Mr. Varner was a mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Mae Varner of Oakdale; children, Donna Kooring of Modesto, Tim Varner of Philippines, Joe Varner of Oakdale; parent, Granny Fry; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
