April 16, 1934 March 25, 2017
RAE Robert K

Oakdale resident of over 30 years, Robert Dean Rae, Sr., passed away after a long 12-year battle with Alzheimer’s surrounded by all his loved ones. He was born April 16, 1934 to his mother, Eva Arch and father J.C. Arch, in Boyant, Oklahoma. He moved to California where he met his wife, Myrna Joy Rae. They were married 63 wonderful years and had two children, Robert Dean Rae, Jr. and Pamela Jean Rae (Courtney). He is survived by three grandsons; Ronnie Courtney, Bobby Rae, and Cory Courtney; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He was a hard-working man who retired from Livermore Lab. In his free time, Robert enjoyed hobbies which included fishing, hunting, and camping. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Hollohand for being a great doctor to Robert for 25 years. After Dr. Hollohand’s retirement, quality care was equally given by Dr. Mahida. The family would also like to thank Oakdale Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, where he stayed in his last couple months, for the love and care provided by his nurses.
You are truly missed.
