Refugio ‘Joe’ Robledo, 76, died Friday, May 7 in Modesto.

He was a native of Compton and lived in Oakdale for eight years.

Mr. Robledo served in the U.S. Navy.

He was an electrical engineer for 30 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Robledo of Oakdale; children, Joseph Robledo of Martinez; Catherine Pennington of Eureka; sister, Carmen Niemela of La Mirada; brother, Hector Robledo of Long Island, NY; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 21 at the family home. Contact his wife for more information.
