Phyllis Ann Luttrell-Tyler passed away peacefully in Visalia, California on November 29, 2019.
Phyllis was born May 19, 1948 in Oakdale California, the daughter of Philip Earl Welch and Sybil Leona Shaw. She worked a career at Hunt-Wesson Tomato Processing – Oakdale, California in Quality Control and Tomato Variety Development and later at J.G. Boswell Tomato Company as Quality Control Manager over their processing plants in Buttonwillow and Corcoran, California.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Tyler; former spouse Merle Luttrell; her step-mother Helen Welch-Rightnour, her brother John Welch, her sister Patricia Welch Price (deceased), her son Derrick Luttrell (deceased), her son Dan Luttrell, her daughter Amber Caldwell and Spouse B.J. Caldwell, three grandchildren, Madeleine, Sydney and Luke Luttrell, and doggies Hannah, Harley and Gigi.
Phyllis enjoyed music, dancing, travel, friends and family; she was creative and meticulous in her work and in her personal life. Phyllis had a flair for music, knew the name and artist for most songs from the 50’s through present day rock and western bands. Phyllis’s hobby and passion was interior design, love and care for her pets, her children and her grandchildren.
She was known to her friends as “Phil”, her children as “Mom”, her grandchildren as “Nana” and her work friends as “Boss Lady”.
Services for Phyllis will be held at Oakdale-Riverbank Memorial funeral home at 10 a.m. on December 9, 2019 at 830 West F Street - Oakdale, CA 95361.
