Patrick Randall Simmons was born on March 3rd, 1949 and he returned to his Heavenly Father on December 5th, 2016. He was born in Illinois and grew up in Oakdale, CA. He attended Oakdale High School. Patrick enjoyed fishing, art, music, and his family. He was a lifetime member of The North American Fishing Club. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a friend to many. He leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years, Susan Russell Simmons, two children - Michelle Faulk (Gregory), of Modesto, CA and Jeremy Simmons (Jill) of Sacramento, CA, five siblings - Vivian Thrower and Charlene Campbell, both of Oakdale, CA, Michael Simmons, Kent Simmons, and Sharon Couch, all of Illinois, six grandchildren - Kayla Christie of Blue Lake, CA, Ryan Faulk, Emilea Faulk, Christopher Faulk, and Aiden Faulk, all of Modesto, CA, Jacob Simmons of Sacramento, CA, and one great-grandchild - William Christie of Blue Lake, CA, as well as countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends all of whom he loved very much. He will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar Simmons of Illinois, Rose Wilson of Oakdale, CA, as well as his step-father Charles “Bud” Wilson of Oakdale, CA. A Celebration of Life Potluck lunch will be held on December 17th at 11 a.m. at the Oakdale Senior Center, 450 East A Street, Oakdale, CA 95361. All are welcome to attend.
