Michael Lynn Wisecup, 51 of Boone, IA died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at the Boone County Hospital, Boone.
He was born in Lynwood, the son of Raymond Roosevelt and Marlene Ann (Arneson) Wisecup. He graduated in Oakdale and lived in Oakdale until 2005, he then moved to Boone, where he has since resided.
Mr. Wisecup worked with Genesis Development in Boone.
He was a member of the Boone Biblical Memorial Church. He enjoyed fishing for catfish, hunting in Iowa and around Boone County with his bow and arrow. He also enjoyed video games. He was a very giving person.
Survivors include his children, Bill West of California, Rebecca Schlam of Oregon, Brian Wisecup of Oregon; sisters and brothers, Sharon (Tom) Collins, Kala Wisecup, all of Boone, IA, Debi (Bill) Wells, Scott (Dina) Wilson, all of California, Elizabeth (Ted) Cork of Idaho, Chip (Trish) Wisecup of Pilot Mound, IA; one grandchild; and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Funeral services were held Jan. 5 at the Boone Biblical Memorial Church. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, southwest of Boone, IA.
