Larry Dale Brimm
Obit-Larry Brimm

Larry Dale Brimm, 62, passed away the morning of Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, due to some health issues he had been having.

He was born to Dorothy Helen Ford and Louis Augustus Brimm in Oakdale on Oct. 24, 1950. He attended Oakdale schools since he was a boy, and after graduating Oakdale High enrolled in a vocational school. When the classes were completed he went to work and spent about 20 years working for the City of Oakdale.

While continuing to live in Oakdale, Mr. Brimm made a variety of friends who will deeply miss him; not to mention, the family he raised and watched grow. Together Mr. Brimm and his wife Patricia had a daughter, Amy; a set of twin boys Robert and Ryan; Eric Boyer; and a stepdaughter, Amber Adams.

He is also survived by five grandchildren and a sixth on the way.

The one companion he was head over heels about was his little Yorkshire dog named Mimi that went everywhere he did.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 2 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the funeral service will be held at Oakdale Memorial Chapel on Thursday, Jan. 3 at 1 p.m.

Following the funeral will be a graveside service at Oaklawn Memorial Park, and then the reception will follow at Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale.
