Kenneth Grayson ‘Pete’ Cheatham, Jr., 72, of Sonora died Sunday, Sept. 19 at his home.
He was a native of St. Louis, Missouri. He lived in Sonora for a year, and previously lived in Oakdale for 30 years.
Mr. Cheatham was the owner-operator of Cheatham Backhoe Service.
He loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his children, Shane Cheatham of Sonora, Paul De Pew of Texas, Pam Fernandez of Illinois, Jack De Pew and Andy De Pew, both of Colorado, Deana Quesada and Tracy Cheatham, both of Arizona; sister, Susan Smith of California; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services have been held.
