Joe Blagg, 87, died Saturday, March 16 at his Oakdale home.
He was born in Gentry, Ark. He was a resident of Oakdale for 65 years.
Mr. Blagg was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was the plant manager for Cover Walnut Dehydrator in Modesto for 27 years. He was also a rancher.
He was a lifetime member of Oakdale Saddle Club. He was an avid team roper and won many awards including buckles, saddles, and a horse trailer.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Anne Blagg; children, Carol (John) Nicewonger, Rennae (Martin) Ugalde, Brad (Cindy) Blagg; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 24 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 25 at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery on Sierra and J streets.
