Jesse passed away peacefully on March 10, 2016, under the care of the wonderful nurses at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson and in the presence of his friend, Diane. Jesse was a free spirit who made the most out of what life handed him. Jesse could often be seen walking around town with a smile on his face and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Jesse is survived by his mother, Monica Anderson and his two brothers, George and Victor Brumett.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Sundance. Jesse is also survived by many close friends in Oakdale, many that he called family and is survived by a sister-in-law, Lorene Brumett and several cousins, nephews, and nieces from the Brumett, Wheat, Young, Garcia and Wood families. A candlelight vigil will be held on Thursday, March 24, at 7 p.m. at Wood Park (AKA Gazebo Park) in honor of Jesse and his friend, Tammy, who also passed a few weeks before Jesse.
