James Joseph ‘Jimmy’ Theiler, 68, died Saturday, Sept. 15 after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Stockton to Joseph and Mary Theiler.

Mr. Theiler worked for Pacific Gas & Electric for 20 years. He later became self-employed, doing custom hay work, operating Theiler Custom Hay Service for 35 years.

Family was of the utmost importance to him. He supported his three children and grandchildren over the years through coaching football, baseball, BMX bicycle racing, 4-H and FFA projects. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Anita; children, Stacey (Scott) Medley of Oakdale, Laurie (Rich) DePonte of Ripon, Jamie Theiler of Oakdale; sisters, Diane Swensen of Hawaii, Joanne Stump of Arnold; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Gene Bianchi Community Center, Oakdale.
