Henry ‘Hank’ Amaral, 83, died Friday, Sept. 23.
He was a resident of Mountain View and Oakdale.
During World War II, he left school to help his parents work on their dairy, as all of the employees had left the dairy to work in the shipyards. After the war, the dairy was sold, and he, still working for his parents, moved to their Oakdale property to take care of the beef cattle.
His family thanks John Brichetta and family, and all of Mr. Amaral’s friends who stopped by and kept him happy.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Coelho of Los Banos, Vera Roe of Saratoga, Elaine Hardisty of Santa Clara, and Betty Strain of Mountain View.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antone and Mary Amaral; and siblings, Tony Amaral and Dolores Amaral Brum.
Remembrances may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, or to your favorite charity.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Oakdale.
