Glen Edward Hoffman, 65, died Friday, Feb. 22.

He was born to Carl and Dorothy Hoffman and was a lifelong resident of Oakdale.

After leaving Oakdale High School his senior year in order to serve in the military, he joined the United States Marine Corp, where he proudly served in the Vietnam War.

After returning to Oakdale, receiving his degree and beginning his family, Mr. Hoffman worked for the Department of Corrections and joined the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 2922, where he was an active member and a former commander.

He loved nothing more than to be surrounded in his home by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lucille; children, Tracey (Marc) Jefferies, Glen (Karen) Hoffman, and Becky (Steve) Johnson; sister, Margaret (Chuck) Getchell; and grandchildren, Derrick, Tyler, Jennessa, Victor, Tyler, Tiffany, Jessie and Lani.

Loved ones are invited to join in a celebration of life that will be held at the Hoffman residence at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9.
