Eugene Alvin Miller, 60, died Monday, Aug. 20.

He was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin. He graduated from Gustine High School and received an AA Degree from Modesto Junior College. He was a resident of Oakdale since 1982.

Mr. Miller worked for BNSF Railway for 37 years.

He was an outdoorsman and his values are exemplified by the Rivers of Recovery that provides combat veterans with a rehabilitation program that focuses on outdoor activities.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia of Oakdale; sister, Barbara (Jim) Edwards; brothers, Jim (Becky) and DuWayne (Dorthy); one niece; two nephews; one great-niece; and three great-nephews.

A gathering in his honor was held Sunday, Aug. 26 at the Oakdale Saddle Club, 1624 East F St., Oakdale.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Rivers of Recovery, P.O. Box 1730, Jackson, WY 83001.
