Eleanor Dorothy Cottle, 87, died Saturday, Sept. 19 in Modesto after a short illness.

She was born and raised in Oakdale. She graduated from Modesto Junior College. She lived in Modesto for 34 years.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her son, Francis (Tillie) Cottle of Modesto; granddaughter, Michele and great-grandson, Matthew, both of Oakdale, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Francis Marion Cottle; parents, Val and Dorothy Reed; and sister, Charlotte Watts.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Nov. 7.
