Donna Joyce (Johnson) Smallwood, 75, died Monday, Feb. 18 in Sonora.

She was born in Cushing, Okla. She and her husband lived in the Oakdale and Knights Ferry areas for approximately eight years. She most recently was a resident of Groveland for seven years.

Mrs. Smallwood was a horse trainer.

She is survived by her husband, Carroll Smallwood; and children, Lorrie Mattox of Modesto, Julie Mattox of Knights Ferry, and Stephanie Mattox of Fallon, Nev.

She was preceded death by her father, Jack Johnson; and mother, Martha Johnson.
