Della Mae Henderson, 77, died peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 19 in El Dorado Hills.

She was born Della Mae Winters in Grady County, Okla. to Mattie and William ‘Cyrus’ Winters.

Mrs. Henderson spent her entire active life in Oakdale involved in many community activities including the Oakdale Golf and Country Club, The Eastern Stars, and Calvary Baptist Church.

She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and RV trips to Quartzsite and Branson.

She was a friend to all who knew her, and a stranger to none, her door was always open to everyone. Her passing leaves a giant hole and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Paul Talbert; daughters, Cathy Lawrence, Debbie Peckham; brothers, Bill Winters, Richard Winters; sisters, Coleta Lee, Joyce Richardson; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Henderson; son, Roger Talbert; and sister, Helen Moody.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30 at Oakdale Community Chapel, 311 N. 8th St., Oakdale.
