Charles Douglas Lemmon, 72, died Tuesday, Jan. 8.

He was born in Columbus, Ohio.

Mr. Lemmon served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 until 1962.

He moved to Lodi in 1967, and worked as an Animal Control Officer for the City of Lodi until he retired in 1997. He was a resident of Oakdale for approximately the past six years.

He enjoyed reading, listening to classical music, and watching sports, particularly football.

He is survived by his sons, Scott Lemmon, Andrew Lemmon; daughters, Susan Harris, Tammy Lemmon of Oakdale; sister, Carol Belinfante; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Lemmon; son, Bill Lemmon; and sister, Martha Jo Catario.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at Lodi Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi.

Remembrances may be made to the American Diabetic Association.
