Beulah “Boots” Miller, 90, passed away on Tuesday, June 17 in Oakdale.

She was born to William T. and Martha Caroline (Gibbins) Spears on Feb. 11, 1924 in Mt. Hersey, Newton County, Arkansas.

In 1927 her family moved from Arkansas to McDonald County, Missouri where they carried on the tradition of farming. She came to California in 1942 and met Robert Miller and married, then divorced in 1957. She raised her five children.

She loved reading her Bible, gardening, telling stories, quilting and fishing.

Survivors include her daughters Charlotte Williams and Marsha Olsen of Oakdale, Glenda Spears of Western Grove, Arkansas; daughter-in-law UnKyong Miller of Acworth, Georgia; older brother William Carl Spears of Grants Pass, Oregon; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents William T. and Martha Caroline Spears; brother Leonard Spears; sisters Orpha Anders Smythe, Edith Allen, Zelma Armstrong, Delois DeLor; sons Robert Miller and Doug Miller.

She will be laid to rest at New Bethel Cemetery in Anderson, Mo. on Saturday, June 28.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday July 19 at 11 a.m. at Oak Valley Church in Oakdale.
