Beatrice Jean Brooks, 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 19 at Oak Valley Hospital in Oakdale.

She was born on Sept. 22, 1926.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oakdale and St. Mary’s Seniors and Friends, as well as Community Sharing and the Gladys Lemmons Senior Center.

Survivors include her children, Denise and Preston Boyd, Valerie and David Rodgers, all of Ceres, Toni and Cecil Lopez, Frank and Yuki Vierra, Fran and John Krieger, all of Oakdale, and Billie and Gene Benedix of Valley Home; her siblings, Robert Bryant of Marysville WA, Walter Bryant of Fernley NV, Ellen Mueller of South San Francisco, and Dorothy Jarschke of Castroville; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank (Johnny) Vierra Sr.; her second husband Richard Brooks, her daughter Lisa Marie Brooks, her sister June Jarschke, and her brothers Henry Bryant and William Bryant.

Visitation and Rosary were Tuesday, May 25 at Deegan Chapel in Escalon.

Mass will be on Wednesday, May 26 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oakdale with her burial following the luncheon at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Escalon.
