Arlene Muriel Lewis, 87, of Riverbank died Thursday, May 27 at Riverbank Nursing Home.

She was a native of Vermont. She lived in Riverbank 65 years.

Mrs. Lewis was a certified nursing assistant for 40 years.

She is survived by her children, Edward Lewis of Missouri, Dickie Lewis of Colorado, Donnie Lewis of North Carolina, Virginia Welch of Modesto, Barbara Clift of Mira Loma, Melvin Lewis of Oakdale, Susie Brock of Ceres, Paul Lewis of Riverbank; sister, Ruby Kulpa of Maine; 29 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Stanley Lewis.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 3 at Oakdale Seventh day Adventist Church. Private burial at Oaklawn Memorial Park. No visitation.
