Anthony Diaz Garcia was born on June 22, 1934 in Milpitas, California. Anthony passed on May 19, 2018 at his home surrounded by family and loved ones. Anthony lived in Oakdale for 38 years and loved our small town. He was a business owner contractor for 40+ years based out of the bay area, but had his office in town.
He served in the Army 1957-1959 in Fort Ord. While in the Military, he met his wife Carol in Kentucky and together they had eight children. Anthony loved his hobbies, which included spending time outdoors at his home that he called “The Ranch” with his chickens and riding horses. He loved to travel, gamble at the casinos, attend his grandsons’ baseball games, and spend time with family and friends. He was a very giving man that loved life and his family. He will be missed by many!
He is survived by his wife Carol; his sons, Kerry Fishbein, Kevin Garcia, Kory Garcia, Kirk Garcia, daughters Kelly Hernandez (Frank), Kim Worcester (Randall), Koleen Maddock; and son-in-law, Rick Maddock; sister, Nicky Martinez; brother, Joe Garcia; as well as, his 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Kyle Garcia; his parents, Emiliano and Maxima Garcia; brothers, Manuel, Lupe, Frankie, Raymond, and Robert Garcia; and grandson, Christopher.
Services are Saturday, June 9, at 11 a.m. at Oakdale Memorial Chapel, 830 W. F St., Oakdale, California. Reception following at 1480 Poplar St. Oakdale, California.
