Anita Medrano, 69, of Riverbank died Saturday, Feb. 23, following a year-long battle with cancer.
She was born to Bonifacio and Santiaga Franco in Loving, New Mexico. She was raised in Orosi, graduating from Orosi High School in 1961. She was married to Henry Medrano on Dec. 2, 1972.
Mrs. Medrano is best remembered for her work in the Riverbank School District, her spirited attendance at sporting events, her love of spending time with her extended family and her happy dancing feet.
She is survived by her children, Richard Tyler (Julie) of Riverbank, Frank (Deanna) of Oakdale, and Enrique ‘JJ’ (Adela) Medrano of Empire; brother, Larry Franco; sisters, Criselda Castanon, Velma Garcia; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation and rosary were held March 4 at Riverbank Memorial Chapel. Services were held March 5, also at the chapel.
