Voters Consider Two Measures On Ballot
vote

Two different measures are on the Tuesday, Nov. 5 ballot for Oakdale voters.

Measure H would be a tax extension to help prevent additional budget cuts and maintain City services, including police and fire protection, senior programs, and other general services. The City of Oakdale, if the measure is approved by voters, would extend the existing half-cent sales tax set to expire in April, 2020 for another 11 years. There would be resident oversight and annual independent audits. A ‘yes’ vote would be in favor of extending the tax, a ‘no’ vote would be in opposition.

Measure I, meanwhile, would change the City Clerk position from elected to appointed. The ballot asks: “Shall the office of the City Clerk be an appointed position?” with the options to vote yes or no on the proposal.
