Variety Of Programs Scheduled At Library

On Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 3 p.m., the Oakdale Library will host “Origami Folding Fun” for everyone, a fun craft activity. Those attending can make graceful little swans, a flexagon flying disc or ninja star, with multi-colored papers to choose or mix, each item will be as unique as the one who makes it. Also planned for youngsters is the “Optical Illusion Spinner Craft” on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 3 p.m. Children will decorate cardboard discs, attach strings, and watch them spin in kaleidoscope fashion, changing before their eyes.

Computer Classes for Adults are back at the library. Learn the basics of computer and internet in this small personal setting. Computer Basics will be offered on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 10:30 a.m. Call the Library at 209-847-4204 for info and be sure to reserve your space. Each session is limited to four people.

Also, if you are an adult interested in learning or improving in Microsoft Word, you will want to join the class on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m.; call the Library to sign up.

The Friends of the Oakdale Library will hold their monthly meeting on Monday, Sept. 23 at 1:30 p.m. Forms to join and info are available at the library, or call 209-847-4204.

The ongoing Oakdale Library Book Club for Adults is scheduled on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 11:30 a.m. New members are always welcome.
