Valley Home News Week of September 17, 2014

Last week we stopped what we were doing to remember those lives lost on September 11, 2001. A horrible tragedy that changed our world forever. Words cannot express the sadness and overwhelming anger that touched each one of us during one of our country’s darkest hours. We cannot change the events of that day, but we can remember those lost and the many public servants who died trying to save them. The date that marks this sad day has passed and as we look toward a brighter future, we honor those who continue to serve our nation’s people. We pay tribute to the matchless courage of our public servants...the firefighters and police officers, who like their brothers and sisters on 9/11, put their lives on the line every day. Our firefighters and police officers are heroes that our children and grandchildren can look up to and believe in! These dedicated men and women care deeply for those they serve. Here in Valley Home we have the honor of having the very best to serve us! They are highly trained, and in emergency situations their knowledge and skilled hands have saved many lives. These are people we can always count on. Thank you to all!

I would like to thank each of you who have called to find out how granddaughter Jenna is doing. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated very much! Jenna is doing well-after more foot surgery- still painful but she is a trooper. After six weeks in the boot she is back to enjoying college life and is looking forward to celebrating her 19th birthday this Saturday, September 20th. Those of you who know Jenna well, will know that she will be celebrating her birthday at a hockey game! Happy Birthday to a delightful young woman. Jenna, may you be blessed with many happy returns of this special day! We love you sooo much!
