We dedicate this column to the memory of our dear friend Claire Taro. Claire’s passing one year ago left a tremendous void in her family and for us here in Valley Home. Claire was the cherished wife of Valley Home rancher Tony Taro and much loved mother of Don and Vicki. Claire was well respected for her gracious manners and sweet personality. She is deeply missed by all and will be remembered fondly.

Valley Home staff, students, families and friends came together on April 5th and 6th to spruce up Valley Home School and the community park. It was an amazing sight as one by one vehicles showed up loaded with tools, supplies and families ready to work. Hearts swelled with pride as folks worked together to make our special school even more special, and our beautiful park even more beautiful! It was a perfect couple of days with sunshine and a breeze that kept everyone comfortable throughout the day. At the end of the work day folks were tired but very proud of their accomplishments. “Love Valley Home Days” truly showed the strength of our way of life in Valley Home. Good people, caring neighbors, devoted families, wonderful churches, terrific school, well stocked family store, wonderful hair studio, top notch equine and police dog facilities, beautiful nurseries, and a dedicated well trained fire department to protect us. We truly “Love Valley Home!”
