Word is the Pancake Breakfast on Saturday was a hit! A special thank you to our helpers who braved the early morning chill to arrive at the multipurpose building between 4-6 a.m. to get everything started for a great morning for our Valley Home P.T.C. sponsored 1st annual “Double Barrel Pancake Breakfast.”

There were a few early risers that came in within the first two hours of opening for business otherwise it appeared that the breakfast was off to a slow start to the day. Club president, Lisa Jones tells us that once 8-10 a.m. arrived, they had a wonderfully flowing crowd of diners. The reviews are in, the food was so great that several guests want P.T.C. members to do this every weekend, including our Principal Mr. Hart and his family. There was even a suggestion made that P.T.C. make home deliveries for an additional cost!

Valley Home P.T.C. members offer a big thank you to all who helped them put on a wonderful breakfast for the community and to all the diners that came to enjoy our meal! Your donations to our school will help us provide our students with much needed items and we are extremely grateful for your support. Lisa says, if you were unable to attend the breakfast on Saturday, be sure to mark your calendars for next year!

Lisa also reminds us that the canned goods and non-perishable items are still being collected for our Thanksgiving baskets. Please bring your donations to the school this week to help us support needy families in our community.

The Christmas Tree Gala is a fundraiser to be held from 6-11 p.m. at the Gene Bianchi Community Center in Oakdale. It is an adult evening centered around raffling off 10 beautifully decorated Christmas trees. Each tree has been sponsored by a local business or contact to provide decorations and gifts underneath. Parents from the school have volunteered to chair each tree and will decorate it according to the theme they have chosen. Games, raffles, live auction, silent auction, food and dancing will create a night to remember! In addition you can win a tree and gifts for the price of a raffle ticket!
