Nancy Osmundson forwards this next piece of information to us concerning recent gang tagging on the stop sign at the corner of Pioneer and Lone Tree and also vandalism to fence boards being removed on that same corner. We also received another report of more graffiti showing up in the Valley Home area, and in addition residents also report that several pairs of tennis shoes tied together were seen hanging on an electric line, indicating the presence of gangs. Please keep your eyes open for anything suspicious, get as many details as possible and report it to the authorities.
Nancy also informs us that the meeting of the Valley Home MAC scheduled for this Wednesday night has been canceled and has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 1st. We send our heartfelt sympathy to Nancy and her family members on the passing of her father-in-law.

Glenn Burghardt spoke to the Oakdale Women’s Club this past Tuesday and received quite an ovation following his presentation of the 105 year history of the service club which started life as the Oakdale Ladies Improvement Club. During all those years the Women’s Club has pursued its goal of service, improvement and beautification of the City of Oakdale. So many facilities in the city are the result of these goals which include Dorada Park, Oakdale Public Library, Oakdale Swimming Pool (Plunge) and perhaps the most beautiful sign of spring – the gorgeous dogwood trees planted at an early Arbor Day celebration.
