There was an error by your reporter in last week’s column concerning the meeting of the Valley Home Municipal Advisory Council, the date for the meeting is tonight, April 20th, and begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the library located at the “old” campus on Texas Avenue. The meeting will have a speaker from STARS who will speak on the Farm Watch Program. All interested residents need to be there. You could save some valuable property if you follow their suggestions.

Valley Home 4-H reporter, Garret Bryhni shares the news that the Club would like to invite everyone to the group’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt. The event is always an exciting one for all those attending. Garret offers this advice to participants, “Get ready to race to get your share of the 100’s of eggs that will be scattered around the Valley Home ‘old school’s campus playground.” Garret tells us that there will also be lots of prizes to be won! Mark your calendar and plan to attend The Hunt on Saturday, April 23 at 12 noon. Don’t forget your Easter Basket! I wonder if the Easter Bunny will be there?

This last week of school before Spring Break has been filled with fun with special “Dress-up days” beginning with “Career Day - what do you want to be when you grow up?” Tuesday was “Western Day” with students wearing their best western gear! Wednesday is titled “Sports Day” with students wearing their favorite sports attire. Thursday is titled “Jog Shirt Day” with students wearing their jog shirt and crazy socks. Let’s get geared up for a fun day. The Jog-A-Thon will start at 10:30 with a barbecue luncheon scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Families are invited to come and help and/or watch the event. School will be dismissed at 1 p.m. with after school program running until its normal time of 5:45.
