This week’s column is dedicated to a very special young woman. Miss Halley Smith is a true Valley Home girl! Halley attended Valley Home grammar school and now is a junior at Oakdale High. Halley is very active in the Valley Home community ... actually Halley has been involved in her community since a very young age. Halley along with sister Lainey, mom and dad Tammie and Ron Smith are an integral part of our Valley Home community. Halley loves to ride horses and over the years has become a very accomplished rider! Halley owns, cares for and trains her own horse, and any day you can see her riding on the family ranch in Valley Home. Halley has been involved in 4-H and rodeo most of her young life. As an Oakdale High Mustang she is continuing her legacy of giving back to her school and community. Halley is a volunteer at the Valley Home Community Park and is also a member of the Soroptimist club. Along with all her activities, she is starring in the production of “Rumors.” The Oakdale High production will take the stage on Friday, February 26th at 7 p.m., Saturday, February 27th at 7 p.m., and Sunday, February 28th at 2 p.m. in the Oakdale High Theater. Tickets are $5 and are available at the Oakdale High Business office or at the door. “Rumors” is an exciting comedy, and will be absolutely great fun to watch. Let’s all support Halley and her Oakdale High Mustangs as they show their wonderful talent on stage! Halley we are so proud and happy for all your success! We look forward to being a part of the audience to enjoy “Rumors!”
