We are excited to bring you happy news from our Valley Home 4-H! Our Club President, Callie Chrisman reports that the monthly club meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Chrisman Ranch. With pumpkins, cornstalks, hay bales and beautiful fall leaves all about, the big ol’ barn will once again welcome 4-Hers inside! The Chrisman Ranch is located at 9840 Victory Ave. Our club officers this year are, Callie Chrisman President, Ben Fletcher Vice President, Walter Bynum Treasurer, Morgan Edgar Secretary and Cooper Bartholomew Sgt.-at-Arms. It is going to be a very special year for Valley Home 4-H! Flyers with information on Valley Home 4-H will be going home this week at school. President Callie and other 4-H members will be creating an exciting window display at Valley Home General Store. So much fun! Valley Home 4-H would like to send a huge, heartfelt thank you to our surrounding 4-H clubs that have so graciously offered their help during our rebuilding process. We appreciate each of you very much!

On another happy note, please remember to mark your calendars for Saturday, Oct. 26. Our school Harvest Festival will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This year we are excited to once again invite each of you to go on the haunted hayride. Although the Harvest Festival starts at 6:00 p.m. the hayride will start at 7:00 p.m. The ride will visit Agony Bagbones, Ol’ Man Culpepper and a bunch of treasure chest, jewelry stealing pirates. Watch your valuables! More info to come. Lots of exciting new additions to this year’s festival!

Our Valley Home volleyball and football teams played in beautiful Knights Ferry this past Friday. It was an amazing day! Thank you Knights Ferry for hosting our Hawks!
