We mourn the loss of a great man! JB McConnell was an amazing man who worked very hard throughout his lifetime. JB was born in Midland, Arkansas on May 1, 1929. As a young man he spent time working in Huron picking cotton. It was there that he was blessed to meet the love of his life ... a beautiful young woman, Miss Ruby Gilmore! The two fell deeply in love and were married in 1949. Together Ruby and JB would raise five children.

JB was a devoted father who cherished each of his children.

JBs enthusiasm for life would lead him to becoming a bush pilot! Eventually he would be the proud owner of his own plane.

JB believed in working hard and always giving a hundred percent. His work ethic would stay with him his entire life. In 1960 his hard work and dedication would enable him to become a General Contractor. During his lifetime JB would go on to have tremendous success! He was an amazing builder who inspired many with his attention to detail and his commitment to quality workmanship.

JB enjoyed raising mules. He would enter them in Performance and Competition Shows and built a reputation as a top breeder of these amazing animals!

JB was devoted to his beloved Ruby; building her the most beautiful home on land they owned in Oakdale. We will miss you JB.  We send our most heartfelt sympathy to the entire McConnell Family. Rest in Heavenly Peace JB.
