Valley Home News 7-7-21
Winnie Mullins

I hope you all had a safe and happy 4th of July! Other than a million mosquitos, we had a beautiful 4th of July here in Valley Home. I was thrilled to hear from my grandsons, Cody and Cooper; they had an awesome 4th of July in Emmet, Idaho. This very patriotic holiday is special everywhere. Here in Valley Home it was a great blessing to see folks gather and celebrate in each other’s company once again. God bless our great country!

There is so much excitement in Valley Home as the day gets closer that we will honor our beautiful Bonnie and all who fight cancer. We can make a difference! Please join us on July 31st for this very special event! Our sweet Bonnie loved to help others ... we will raise much needed funds to fight cancer on this very special day. Please join us in Valley Home. Activities will start at 4:00 pm with carnival and water games at the park. (Please bring a towel or change of clothes!) Enjoy a delightful petting zoo, fresh vegetables, Bonnie’s bulbs, bubbles, beach balls and great fun. Across the street you will be able to enjoy a very special car and tractor show; maybe even a cattle trailer or two. We will honor this very special woman who gave so much to this community and to all of us! You will enjoy delicious ranch BBQ chicken sandwiches, a delightful sweet shoppe filled with amazing sweet treats, delicious homemade tamales, ice cold lemonade, fresh off the grill BBQ hot dogs, cotton candy, frosty cold slushees, delicious red vine-ripened cold watermelon slices, and sweet farm grown corn on the cob. We will be sharing many more activities in next week’s column. We hope you will come to Valley Home and help us “Honor our Beautiful Bonnie and All Who Fight Cancer”. We can make a difference! If you would like to include your loved one in the photo tribute or slide show, please contact Cody Madera at 707-779-8802. All are welcome! Our first walking lap will start at 5:00 pm on the track in front of the school ... the 5:00 pm lap encourages all of us to wear our favorite costume and have fun; we all know how much Bonnie loved costumes and loved to have fun! It will be a very special evening. If you have thoughts to share please call or text me, Winnie, at 209-985-5233, I would love to hear from you!
