I would like to start this week’s column off with a tremendous and heartfelt “Thank You” to each of you who have kept my daughter Beci in your prayers! I have learned that every day does not have to be perfect to be wonderful ... I will tell you ... it has been a stressful week! While still in the hospital, Beci is doing really well after brain surgery Friday morning. We are so thankful for God’s amazing mercy. Thank you to each of you for keeping her in your prayers.

Last week our area’s young people displayed their amazing skills of showmanship, hard work and dedication to their animal projects at the county fair. They also showed many other projects of their choosing. For many, their months of hard work was rewarded at Saturday’s Stanislaus County Fair Auction! A huge thank you to folks like Doug Hummer, who supported our kids over and over again at the auction. Without fanfare, Mr. Hummer, Hummer Trucking, Mr. Travis Johnson, Western Prime, and so many more very caring people supported our young people over and over again at the Stanislaus County Fair Auction. We live in an amazing area; an area where folks are proud to support our youth. So, to each of you who helped in any way to make our FFA and 4-H kids’ fair experience a great one: Thank You!
