This week we honor the life of an amazing man ... Rod Riley served 14 years as a dedicated and caring firefighter. On Saturday, May 14th his family along with the Modesto Fire Department paid tribute to his years of service as he was laid to rest. Rod dedicated his life to service and the protection of lives and property for so many. He was an amazing man who cared deeply for his family, his friends and those he served. He was well known for his friendly smile and his ability to make all who came in contact with him smile. He was instrumental in the department’s Clown Program; the program impacted the lives of thousands of students! He was a man who cared very much for those he served. Rod was laid to rest with the deepest respect and appreciation from all. We will forever be grateful for this amazing, caring firefighter who gave so much to all he served.

Always remembered ... Rodney Michael Riley, February 14th, 1978 – May 9th, 2022.
