We always enjoy sharing in the joy of birthday festivities for one of our favorite Valley Home residents. Hazel Henry had a wonderful day from morning to night enjoying festivities hosted by members of her family who gathered to help her celebrate her birthday on May 9th. Hazel tells us she had “a wonderful birthday and Mother’s Day all in the same day.” She tells us that her son-in-law and daughter, Frank and Patsy Carpenter came from Layton, Nevada, and cooked a delicious turkey dinner to celebrate the occasion.

Gathering at the Rushman home to join in the festivities for Hazel were Lloyd and Gaye Larimore who traveled from their home in Turlock, Hazel’s great granddaughter, Stacy Murphy, and Hazel’s great-great grandchildren, Dawson, Chole, the twins, Madison Nicole and Rylee Lynn Murphy from Delhi. Grandson, Anthony Echols of Carson City, Nevada, was unable to attend, but phoned his birthday greetings to Hazel. Hazel states that “she really feels blessed to have a wonderful family at the age of 89.”
