Hi everyone … I hope you are all enjoying these springlike days. Before too long it will be time to start our gardens and plant some pretty flowers.

This week I would like to share a wonderful story about an amazing young man. A few years ago, Tyler Cooley was in Florida on vacation. Tyler became very ill and was hospitalized. He was hospitalized for several days with round the clock care before a medical jet was able to fly him across the country back to the west coast. It was a very rough time for Tyler … but with amazing doctors, nurses, the support of his family and the prayers of many, many people, Tyler recovered. He would later go on to be a star basketball player, a standout player for our amazing Mustang basketball team. Tyler is a kind and very humble young man. Since graduating from high school, Tyler has been a very busy young man. He was chosen a few months ago to participate in the Disney College Program in Orlando, Florida. Tyler was chosen out of 30,000 young people; he was one of 1,600 young people chosen from the 30,000 to participate in Disney’s five-month program.
Tyler enjoyed his time working for Disney and is grateful for such an amazing opportunity. He is back home now and is currently working at River Oak Grace, and going to college. Tyler loves his job at River Oak Grace Church, and especially enjoys working with the young people. Tyler, we are so proud of you.

So much excitement; our Oakdale wrestlers are doing an amazing job. At the Masters Meet, Oakdale High School’s Wes Burford won a coveted championship, and will be heading to the State Finals.
Matt Cooley, Jesse Meza, and Gideon Gerber each punched their ticket with second place finishes and will also head to State. The top five placers in each weight class will head to the State Championships in Bakersfield this coming weekend. Congratulations to each of you.
