Happy New Year to each of you! Once again, as I do each year I will share a very special tradition in our home. Each year we start cutting up newspaper confetti days before New Year’s Eve. New Year’s is my grandson Cooper’s birthday! It is so much fun to celebrate Cooper’s birthday! He turns 11 this year and is a fifth grader in Mrs. Stuart’s class at Valley Home School. It has been a wonderful holiday season for Cooper, it started with the school Christmas Program, Cooper and his classmates dancing and having a great time to ‘Boot Scootin Boogie’ by Brooks and Dunn. We are so grateful for Bonnie Gellerman and Tom Cassinetto for their hard work putting together such a wonderful holiday program. Every child had a spectacular evening. The program was filled with Toy Story, Kindergarten sang ‘Santa Claus Got Stuck in a Chimney!’, First Grade sang, ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town,’ Second Grade, ‘Up on the Housetop,’ Third Grade, ‘Frosty the Snowman,’ Fourth Grade, ‘Mele Kalikimaka,’ Sixth Grade, ‘Rudolph Survived,’ and Seventh Grade, ‘Jingle Bell Rock!’ Lovejoy and friends presented a SNL special, a very special highlight of the evening was pianist extraordinaire Joshua Blasengym. It was an exciting evening for all! It was an exciting ending when the crowd wished Miss Callie Chrisman "Happy Birthday!" It was a very special evening in Valley Home.
