Valley Home

Every resident in our Valley Home, Knights Ferry, Oakdale and surrounding area, please be sure to stay updated on the issues surrounding the dismissal of our Fire Chief Rick Weigele. A few years ago our Oakdale Rural Fire District became part of the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District. At the time the thought was that combining resources and sharing one Chief would be much better economically for our fire district. This past week after two separate hastily called special board meetings SCFPD dismissed our Fire Chief. We all need to be aware of very important issues within our Fire District. We will let you know the date and time for the upcoming informational meeting. Until this meeting date is set, we send our thoughts and good wishes to Chief Weigele and his family!
