We offer a very heartfelt thank you to our firefighters and law enforcement! With the 4th of July holiday upon us we so much appreciate their dedication and hard work. Sadly the recent drownings in area waterways have them using their training and skills almost daily. With temperatures near 109 degrees, rivers and lake water running high, these dedicated men and women are on call 24/7 and have top notch training. They are the very best. We are grateful!

As promised we are going to highlight our local kids on their journey to the County Fair! This week we will introduce two Valley Home young people. Miss Emma Wucherer and her big brother Wyatt. Wyatt has been showing goats for three years and is a very talented showman. Wyatt is a student at Valley Home School and member of Valley Home 4-H. Along with working each day with his goat, Wyatt also stays busy with summer ball. Wyatt is looking forward to doing his very best in the show ring. Good luck Wyatt! This will be Wyatt’s little sister Emma’s first year showing in regular classes, Emma has shown goats in the pee wee showmanship at the fair and has done a remarkable job. Emma is also a student at Valley Home School and a member of Valley Home 4-H! This year Emma will be taking a breeding goat and a market goat to the County Fair. She is excited to get in the show ring and show her show skills. Emma is up early working with her fair goats and excited it’s almost time for the County Fair!

Carly Thomason and sister Rachel traveled to Fort Sill, Oklahoma for the Army Basic training graduation of Carly’s boyfriend Gerardo. Gerardo left the next day for Georgia, where he will continue his military training! After leaving Fort Sill the girls drove to Missouri, where they are visiting their grams and grandpa Nita and Boss Thomason and dad Darrin. It is an exciting time for the Thomason Family.
