Sunday is Mother’s Day ... What a wonderful day for mothers everywhere. May all mothers out there feel the love and appreciation of their children. Our children and grandchildren are among God’s greatest blessings. No matter what direction or what the events of our lives, we can look at the miracle of our children’s birth as one of the sweetest blessings God has granted us!
On this Mother’s Day I hope each of you enjoy a day filled with love and much celebration! If you find that you are alone this Mother’s Day, please allow me to share these words with you, take the time to look at a beautiful flower in bloom, you are truly a miracle worker, you gave birth. There is an old saying, “the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world” and while I am not sure of that completely, I do know that the overwhelming feelings of love immediately after a child’s birth, completely redefines who you are, you are a “Mom” – never again will it just be me, it will forever be “you and me.”

For those of you who are blessed to still have your mother, even the tiniest gesture of love will be most appreciated. A handwritten note, a single hand-picked flower, a phone call, will make a mother’s day!

Throughout my lifetime I have had the great pleasure of having many young and old alike call me “Mom.” It has continually warmed my heart and to each of you I say “thank you” from the bottom of my heart!

To each of you, enjoy your special day. Enjoy God’s blessings on this beautiful Mother’s Day 2017.

This Sunday, Mother’s Day 2017 will mark one year since our family lost the person who made our way of life possible ... our beloved Richard. Better known as Grandpa, papa, dad, uncle, brother, cousin, friend and to me the “handsome teenager” I met and married at 18 and who loved me a lifetime. We miss you! To all of you who tried so hard that day, we again say thank you. It seems like it was just yesterday.
