A patriotic day at Valley Home School ... KAT Country Radio made the trip to Valley Home! On Friday, February 22nd our 4th through 8th grade students were showcased saying the “Pledge of Allegiance.” Proud parents, friends and neighbors crowded around any available radio to hear the joyful voices of our students! Their innocence and exuberance for the American flag rang out as they proudly and loudly recited the Pledge. It was a moment in time each will carry forever! Many lessons are taught with books throughout the school day, this was an outdoor lesson, a lesson in patriotism that will be with our students a lifetime. We offer a special thank you to KAT Country for their visit!

Excitement at the high school ... last Wednesday evening Oakdale High FFA students offered up their most delicious and most imaginative homemade cakes. The cakes were auctioned off to an appreciative audience with several Oakdale High administrators and staff in attendance to support their FFA students. It was truly a remarkable evening with most cakes being sold for between $50 to $200! Family and friends were generous with their bidding. Auctioneer Dalton Breazeale kept the room hopping with his lively auctioneer skills! Thank you Dalton for coming to Oakdale and for making the night such a success, you are very much appreciated!
